On October 25, 2017 Nordic Heat will be hosting a Business Innovation consultation focused on innovative technologies and practices that could help the further development of smart district energy solutions as part of the broader Smart City concept currently being designed in Helsingborg.
The Council of Helsingborg, which represents the fourth largest population area in Sweden, has initiated one of the largest urban renewal project the city has ever known. The so-called H+ project aims to transform Helsingborg into an integrated and sustainable Smart City by 2035. Municipality-owned energy company Öresundskraft will be a key stakeholder in the project and has received the mandate to make H+ an international reference when it comes to providing smart, sustainable and competitive energy services; in particular though the development of state-of-the-art district heating.
The company is one of Sweden’s largest energy companies and is regarded as a frontrunner in Scandinavia in establishing a sustainable and integrated energy system offering a highly competitive value proposition to residents and companies in the region. Nordic Heat is inviting suppliers from across Europe to come and present to Öresundkraft solutions that could support its efforts in creating the smart energy city of the future.
